She No Longer Zoom-Zooms

If you were around in the early 2000’s Mazda’s tagline used to be “Zoom-Zoom”!

Jared bought his Mazda3 back in 2005. It was brand new! It’s been a great car. All of the kids drove it at one time or another and Jared put a lot of miles on it himself. 237,931 miles to be exact!

She started needing more and more repairs in the last 2 years. Last month we put $800 in her and crossed our fingers she’d make it until next year but she started having issues again and they’d be close to another $800.

We decided it was time to let her go to another family who didn’t mind a little bit of a fixer-upper.

It was a bit of a sad goodbye for Jared.

When you sell a car then you have to buy one. You’d think that’d be exciting and fun but it’s mostly stressful. Car dealerships and sales people have a bad reputation for a reason. As we searched for over a month for a new vehicle we experienced first hand why you have to do your due diligence and do your research.

We’d done all of our searching online before heading to the dealerships. That’s a big plus from when we bought his car almost 18 years ago. We can pull up the carfax and see photos in the comfort of our home and the reputable places will give you their out the door price before stepping foot on their lot.

Jared really wanted another Mazda. We found the cutest little 2017 Mazda3 Touring hatchback at AutoNation here in Gilbert. Jared didn’t really want a hatchback. But after seeing it in person he really fell in love with it. It was very well taken care of and only had 67,115 miles on it.

I think it’s funny we now own 2 red cars! Apparently we look good in red! LOL!

Now we just need to name her!

Some initial ideas are…
Red Hot Chili Pepper
Crimson Clown
Salsa Sizzler
El Caliente
Redonkadonk
Red Phantom
Little Red (homage to Big Red)
Little Red Riding Car
Tribute (another homage to Big Red)

Which would you pick?
