He Did It!

It’s official!!! Walker received his diploma for his Master’s Degree in Secondary Education! He’s worked his tail off and we could not be more proud of him!!!

He’s been teaching in the High School since the beginning of the school year. Now that he has officially graduated he’s won’t be on substitute teaching pay and will receive his full contract salary amount which he’s VERY happy about!

He’s been growing in so many ways as he has jumped into this position with both feet. Teaching is so much more than Algebra and Geometry. Students need support and help in varying ways and degrees both in their education and in their emotional and mental well being. When you have 5 Hours and 30+ kids in each Hour that’s a lot to balance and ensure you are meeting the needs of each student on a personal level. But he’s doing a tremendous job!

He comes home tired but he says he loves his job and can’t see himself doing anything more important. He is an amazing young man who is selfless and a really great teacher! These kids are so lucky!!
