Two temples, two states, two BFF’s!

AnnMarie and I have been friends for years. The last 10 years we’ve grown even closer through having similar trials and being able to lean on each other through them all. It’s such a gift and blessing to have a friend that you know 100% will do anything for you any time, any where, no matter what!

In 2016 AnnMarie and I started attending the temple together every week together. It was our Friday morning date. After our session we’d talk for hours about life, faith, kids, health, family, trials, jobs, you name it! We were diligent and almost never missed until COVID hit. Temples closed for a long time and when they reopened they instituted a reservation system and it was difficult to get a slot. Then of course life sneaks in and excuses are easy to come by and we’ve gotten out of the habit. But more than that….she moved 650 miles away in April. That has been really hard for the both of us!

Now that she’s settled in in Utah we’ve decided to do virtual temple dates! 🙂 We go to the nearest temple scheduled at the same time and day and afterwards we video chat and catch up! We just did our first one and already have the 2nd one scheduled in the books. It was SO good to see her and talk to her. Technology is so awesome sometimes. So grateful we can still do this together and feel connected to each other even though we are living so far apart now.

I’m looking forward to doing this again soon. I definitely need the spiritual edification as well as the friendship edification. Supporting each other and helping each other stay on the covenant path and cheering each other on!
