Out with the Old in with the New…
I’ve been nursing this oven along for over a year. It just wouldn’t hold a consistent temperature while baking. It’d have swings anywhere from 50-100 degrees during one baking session. It was slightly frustrating. Ha!
We finally bit the bullet and bought a Frigidaire to replace our Whirlpool. It’s an induction stovetop and if you want you can choose convection for the oven and you can also air fry in the oven! Super fancy! ;P
We thankfully already had pots and pans that work with induction cooking. I didn’t know much about induction until we started researching (Eli really helped us a lot with this).
Here’s a little info from a quick Google search, “So how does an induction cooktop work differently? A copper coil under the cooktop creates electromagnetic energy. This magnetic energy interacts directly with induction-compatible cookware to make it hot. Because induction skips the step of heating the cooktop, it’s a fast and even cooking method.”
The stove top doesn’t get hot so things don’t burn and make it impossible to clean the glass. It only heats up the pot and its contents. It’s all very high-tech if you ask me! So far we really like it. And my family loves that I can make my famous cinnamon rolls again! 😀
