January AFROTC Recap
Eli’s still rockin’ it in the Air Force. He’s been volunteering, leading, and proving himself to be an excellent Cadet.
He was also given a new responsibility as the Cadet Wing Executive Officer. This is a very high honor! He’s the first underclassmen to be given this opportunity. He works very closely with the Operations Flight Officer and Wing Staff. He’s made quite the impression on his entire wing. It’s really incredible how he’s able to meet and excel at whatever is put in his path.
He recently took the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) and had his interview with the Space Force. The AFOQT will determine what job or position the Air Force will assign him to when he commissions. It’s used to assess skills and personality aspects that are known to help candidates succeed in their training programs. It’s a multiple-choice, standardized test that covers several topics. Your score is based on the number of correct answers in each of the 12 subtests. In total, the test takes five hours to sit and is take. Not for the faint of heart!
He had little time to prepare for his interview with the Space Force. Actually, he found out the night before!!!! He’s supposed to have weeks to prepare. Something happened and there was a miscommunication so Eli pulled an all-nighter trying to prepare the best he could with what time he had.
The Space Force is where the Air Force places their smartest and brightest programmers, which is where Eli really wants to be. We don’t know the timeline for finding out the results for both of these big milestone accomplishments but I’ll update as soon as we find out.
Praying that they see what a great asset he will be to them ! <3
