White Water Rafting in Moab – kandid memories

Summer adventures continue for this girl!

We were home from California Saturday night and she’s off bright and early this (Monday) morning for Moab, UT to white water raft down the Colorado River!!! 🌊😎

I’m both excited and nervous for her! Jared got to go with the boys when they went and that gave me a lot of peace knowing he was there to make sure they were ok. It can get kinda harry out there in the rapids! He couldn’t go this year because they limited the number of adults this time. Bummer….

They also advised that the kids start hydrating a week before they departed to avoid dehydration which is the number one party killer out there. We’d been doing pretty much the opposite of that in California with the heat and days in the sun. And she also started coming down with a head cold. :/

So Sat/Sun I had her taking vitamins and chugging Gatorade and water like crazy. She was running to the bathroom every 2 minutes. Hahaha! I also kept reminding her to make sure to drink on the river and reapply, reapply, reapply that sun screen! I’m pretty sure she was so annoyed with me by that morning and just wanted to get away from all my nagging. LOL! Poor girl….

They don’t have cell service up there and so no one brought phones. I can’t wait to hear all about it when she gets back on Thursday! I’ll update here when she does!

She’s home! 💜

She had a great time even though the rapids were low, 2 giant dust storms came through and tore up their camp, and it was wicked hot! 😂 It was definitely an adventure!
