Happy 18th Birthday Walker!!!!!

We’ve been in birthday mode for about a week celebrating this son of ours! Turning 18 is a pretty big deal after all!
We took the family to see the newest installment of the Star Wars movies, Solo. It’s one of the funnier ones, even though the box office ratings and reviews weren’t that great, we loved it!
Walker wanted to try some authentic sushi. The rest of us were a little leery but the birthday gets what he wants. 🙂
He ordered something called the “Hot Mess”. He said it was really good!
Alayna jumped in with both feet and ordered the sushi lunch. She didn’t like it. LOL!!! The rest of us played it safe with sweet n’ sour chicken, Asian BBQ ribs, and honey chicken. 😛
He scored a free dessert which was a deep fried cheesecake type thing. It was good!
 Love our boy!
Today is his actual birthday. Unfortunately, he was sick. 🙁 There should be a rule about not getting sick on your birthday. It’s just not fair!

The day before we stopped a new bakery we haven’t tried yet and bought a silly amount of baked goods! LOL! This fruit eclair was one he picked. Never mind the fact we’d already bought him his favorite strawberry rhubarb pie, several 1/2 gallons of ice cream, and a razzleberry pie to try earlier in the week! 😀

And just like that…..He’s an adult!!!!! <3
I can’t believe it’s been 18 years since you came into our lives. You make us proud to be your parents. I hope you are also proud to be called our son. ❤️
I think most parents feel mixed emotions. It’s bittersweet because we are saying goodbye to the child we’ve raised and embracing the young adult you are becoming.
I hope you will take advantage of all the opportunities that will be presented to you. I wish that you will have the strength, determination, & courage to live your life the way you want to. I pray you will always be inspired to make your dreams come true!
Now that you are an adult you have the power to control your life. Remember with great power comes great responsibility. Your choices are now your own & the consequences of your choices are now your own. Facing them, for better or worse, will shape you into a great man.
You will find life gets more complicated the older you get. Sometimes it’s very easy to figure out & sometimes it will take you years to find the answer. Remember it is your life & only you have the final say. Don’t let others live your life for you. Keep Heavenly Father at the center of your life & He will guide you through whatever you face. 🙏😇
Don’t be disheartened when things don’t go your way all the time or when people let you down. Don’t be discouraged when you fail the first try. Don’t let anyone tell you that your dreams are too big or impossible to achieve.
Remember if you need advice about life & adulting Dad & I are just a message away. You are never too old to need a helping hand (or two). No matter what the future brings we will always be here for you.
I wish you nothing but love & happiness. I pray for your success, safety & peace. I wish you all the best things in this world! You deserve them all!! Happy 18th Birthday!🎉🎂🎈🎁🎉
