Good-bye Primary….
I’ve served in Primary in some shape or form for about 12 years. Sunday I was just sustained and set apart to serve in the Young Women’s Program as a Mia Maid Adviser.
When I got the call last week I was really hesitant. YW has always felt like a scary place to serve. So many personalities….Young adult minds that test you…. A lot of pressure in my book. I told our bishopric member I needed time to pray, go to the temple and think it over.
Jared and I went to do sealings for some of my family names and while there I felt like accepting the calling was the right thing to do. Even though I still felt nervous and perhaps terrified. 😉
I’m quickly being immersed in what’s to come as I pass the baton for my calling to the next Second Counselor in Primary. I will miss the kids a lot. I can’t say I wasn’t ready for a change from Primary and Cubs, but I just didn’t think it would be “this” particular change. 😛
I hope I have something of worth to offer the girls. I hope the Lord will qualify me for all that I need to do. It’s a big move!!!!
