A Little Paint & Polish

We got a notice from the HOA that it is time to repaint the house. We’ve never repainted in the 23 years we’ve lived here. I suppose their request is valid. Haha!

This is how she looked….

I think we just got used to the dated old paint job. It was just home to us.

Before we could begin we had to take down the cat claw so the painters could do their job. Always sad to cut it down. But grows crazy fast so it’s not too sad. ;P

Did you see the little humming bird nest in there?

It took us a few days to decide on colors. We finally made a decision, painted our swatches to get approval from the HOA, and then set a date for the work to be done.

The crew showed up and did it lickity split!!!

And now the old gal looks like this…

She cleans up pretty nice! We had the back wall painted too. The white fence would reflect into the window in the back of the house and blind us. So we’d keep the blinds and curtains closed most of the time. It’s made a HUGE difference going a little darker. My retinas are grateful! LOL!
