Another One Bites the Dust!

All of our appliances are one by one dropping like flies! We just replaced our oven in July.

This time it was our dishwasher. We bought our Kenmore on Mother’s Day (when I was pregnant with Alayna) 17 years ago! She did her duty well and I thank her. What did we do before dishwashers? I do 2 sometimes 3 full loads A DAY!

A woman named Josephine Cochrane was the inventor of the first commercially successful dishwashing machine. And I say a big, Thank You!! from the bottom of my heart! You can read more about this amazing woman here.

We were in a bit of pinch to get a replacement. The old Kenmore was just flooding the kitchen every time it ran. So we stopped by a couple of places and ended up at Spencer’s TV and appliance and purchased a Kitchenaid.

Let me tell you, dishwashers just in the last 17 years have come a LOOOONG way! You can even (if you want to, but idk why you would 😛 ) run it from an app on your phone!! All the buttons light up and computerized. They are so much quieter and use a lot less water (not a real big fan of the less water though, things tend to benefit from more water when you’re cleaning, but I digress). Technology is in EVERYTHING now!
