AAU Jr. National Volleyball Championship

Alayna’s team traveled to Orlando, Florida for their final competition! They played in the AAU Jr. National Championship.

Alayna said she felt like she played really strong all week. Watching her games I’d have to 100% agree! She’s really finding her confidence, growing her skills, and having more fun on the court.

Of course the girls worked hard but they always try to squeeze in a little bit of team bonding and some activities off the court. They drove over to Cocoa Beach after one of their morning waves finished.

Even Coach Kehau snuck in a little nap.

They grabbed dinner at Coconuts on the Beach before heading back to the hotel to rest up for the next day of games.

Getting home was a little sketchy.

For a brief moment they were told their flight was canceled. (There have been so many issues with flights recently all over the country.) Then it was just delayed. They ended up being delayed for 2 hours and they got into Phoenix around midnight. It was a very long day of travel for them.

It was good to have them home again!

Now it’s time to get ready for the school season…Let’s go Coyotes!
