Student Teacher- Internship

Walker is in his Master’s Program to become a high school teacher. The last 2 semesters he’s been student teaching in social studies and government.

I’ve been trying to get him to send me a picture of him in the classroom since he started and he finally sent me these! I love it!!

He’s very busy and he’s juggling a lot. He’s up before the sun rises and puts in long hours between student teaching, his college classes, homework, and work.

This semester his mentor teacher has him lesson planning, creating tests/quizzes, teaching, and basically running the class as if it was his. Of course she oversees everything. The students are in good hands. 🙂

His mentor teacher has been wonderful with her guidance, advice, and wisdom. She’s been teaching for 30 years and is a wealth of knowledge!

He loves social studies and world history but he’s also loving helping students with math. So he’s planning to get certified in math as well.

He just got approval to register for summer semester so he will graduate this summer!!!

If all goes well he could be in his very own classroom with the 2023/2024 school year! So excited for him!
