A Small Thanksgiving
With COVID numbers rising we decided not to get together with our extended family this year. But that didn’t stop us from making the best out of it! I decided to pull out my best dishes, crystal, and my Grandmother Donher’s silver.
I cooked up all of our favorite dishes and we ate to our heart’s content! 🙂
Eli’s girlfriend Brynne also joined us.
After we ate we watched “Forest Gump”. We hadn’t seen it in years and Eli and Alayna had never seen it before. It’s a great movie!
Just because we can’t be together doesn’t mean we can’t see our family. Technology is wonderful and we video called our parents. My dad’s hair is getting SOOO long! He said he’s channeling his inner Doc Brown, from “Back to the Future”. LOL!!
Eli was teasing Alayna and was sticking his feet on her and she noticed how he was in serious need of a pedicure. So she gave him one. <3
He wasn’t entirely on board with it but he didn’t fight too hard. It looks like she’s really putting some elbow grease on those toenails though! Haha!
Definitely thankful for these 3 greatest gifts! <3
The guys pulling out leftovers for dinner. They weren’t sad about leftovers today. 🙂
Eli gave us a little music to listen to. I love hearing him play.
It was a beautiful day filled with family, food, and my heart full of thanks for all we have been blessed with this year. This has been a challenging year for so many, in a cornucopia of ways. I feel so grateful we haven’t had the struggles that others have faced. I feel very fortunate. I know things can easily be taken away and shift in a moment’s notice. Today I’m just beyond grateful that we have our health, each other, our home, employment, and our Heavenly Father. <3
