Alayna’s Senior Trip – Day 3 Disneyland & DCA

Our last day! And it was a wet one!

But that didn’t stop us from living our best lives!

This day was all about hitting all the rides we wanted to do one, two, or three times more. We park hopped between Disney and DCA. And filled up on all the Disney Magic!

Here’s fun clip of us riding Big Thunder in the rain!

P.S. We rode this 3 times this day!!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has replaced Splash Mountain. It’s a fun ride as long as you don’t mind some lulls and story continuity issues. The animatronics are very cool though.

We think they’ve cranked up the water to make up some of the difference in what it lacks. Alayna got just a little wet! Haha!!

We hopped over to DCA and went to PYM’s Test Kitchen for lunch. Eli ordered Red Rage Wings. They were THE HOTTEST WINGS EVER!!! The poor kid suffered through it though. He said they tasted good but were just insanely hot and he paid $12 bucks for them and he wasn’t going to waste his money. Oy vey!! LOL!!!

He had tears and snot everywhere! Hahaha!!

Brynne on the other hand has a mustard addiction that she will go to any length to get a fix for. She was sniping mustard packets whenever she came across them and at one point got a spoon and did a drive by mustard heist as we walked down Hollywood Boulevard! There’s never a dull moment with these kids!

Alayna is our artist and she really wanted to do The Art Academy. This is so outside my comfort zone but I’m glad I did it and I think everyone’s turned out so great!!!

Left to Right: Jared’s, Vanessa’s, Alayna’s, Walker’s

Brynne and Eli stayed later than us every night. They somehow have unlimited energy. They watched the new World of Color – ONE Show. They said it was awesome. I’m a little sad we didn’t stay but we were so tired!

And for your viewing pleasure here are several of our ride pictures…

BTW- I also beat Jared on Buzz Light Year Astro Blasters! 😛

The last day we woke up without any alarm clocks, packed up, had a quick pop tart & bagel breakfast, and headed home. The rain really picked up and we didn’t want to be driving home in the dark. We had a few moments where it felt a little scary on the freeway. We couldn’t even seen the car right in front of us it was coming down so hard.

We made it home safe and sound and only added an hour to our drive with all the craziness.

We had such a great time! I love spending time with my family. They are my greatest joy! I’m so happy for Alayna and how hard she’s worked these last 4 years in high school. She picked the perfect trip to celebrate!!!

Just 2 more months and she graduates! Ready or not…..
