Senior Night!
Gosh this season flew by!!
Senior Night was last night and it was such a fun night highlighting each of the graduating Seniors.
Each girl had a display with pictures of them over the years. Along with some fun gifts from the team!
The Seniors!
The underclassmen made posters for each girl. Alayna’s says 2024 but it should read 2025. I guess it is the 2024 season. 😛
Mamaw, Scott, Grandma & Grandpa Morrison, Walker, Eli & Brynne, and Allie (Alayna’s BFF) all came out to support her! Sadly we didn’t get pictures of anyone else but Mamaw and Allie. Darn it!!!
Each of the Seniors had one of the Freshman or JV players read a little bio about their accomplishments over their High School volleyball career as well as their academic accomplishments. They also got to thank people who helped them along the way. And they shared what their plans are after graduation.
All the girls were given flowers, a sash with their names and graduating year, candy leis, and another lei made out of yard with the school colors.
Big thank you to Allie who filmed this for us!! She’s the BEST!
We were SUPER thrilled and surprised to find out as Alayna’s bio was being read that her coach confirmed that she now holds the school record for assists! We didn’t know they were going to announce that! That was pretty awesome!
And edit here to add that at the end of her regular season her final total for assists is 1718!! Incredible! She just keeps raising the bar!
The girls and their families. This picture doesn’t show the many, many, many hours of practices, tryouts, private lessons, dedication, tournaments, carpools, team camps, replacing of shoes & knee pads, and cheering and loving and wiping of tears (sad ones and happy ones) over the years. And now, it’s all at a close.
Congratulations ladies!
It was a great night!!! Surprisingly none of us cried! We all thought we’d be blubbering babies. Haha!! I think we’re just more excited for what the future holds.
We are so proud of Alayna’s work ethic, determination, and grit. She gives everything she does %!
Over the last few weeks we have had parents & girls share how much they love her. She’s affectionately been nicknamed “Mom”. They have shared how she brings the team together, is loving, and always has a kind word and a listening ear. They’re so sad and are really going to miss her!
She’s one of a kind! We love you Alayna!
