Volleyball Playoffs
Alayna had her playoffs today. She’s been pretty sick with pneumonia but she’d been on antibiotics for a couple of days and was slightly improved. She loves volleyball so much she didn’t want to miss it!! We went ahead and allowed her to go, but it probably wasn’t our best decision….

They played against the Tornadoes. If they win then they get to go to the Championships!
You can tell she’s not feeling 100%. Her arms are crossed cuz she’s cold. She put on that smile for me as soon as she saw me pull out my camera.
Notice the smile has faded. 🙁
She was doing her best but she just didn’t have the strength or energy to keep up with her normal pace.
They ended up winning the first game. It was really close but they pulled it off! They made it to the Championships!!!
I’m not sure why I don’t have any pictures of the 2nd game. I think maybe because it was too intense! LOL! They kept getting a point and Havoc would get a point, then Ice, then Havoc. Both games were like that until Havoc brought home the win.
It was the first time in a couple of years that Ice hasn’t won the Championships and the first time they haven’t won the first 2 sets. There were lots of tears shed. It was a hard defeat. Alayna had no energy by the end and she felt miserable. She didn’t even want the ice cream afterwards. That’s how you know she was really sick. 🙁 She loves ice cream!
We took her home and she showered and got in her PJ’s. Her cough increased and she was spent. Poor girl. We felt terrible for letting her go. It’s hard to know what the best choice is sometimes.
