Alayna applied to the Sport Medicine program/club at Campo. It’s quite an extensive process. Students fill out an application, get several letters of recommendation, interview with the program director and then cuts are made. She actually applied last year (as a freshman) but didn’t make it. But she was still able to take the class during the school day.
This year she made the program/club!! She has the regular class during the day and then she gets to help out all the student athletes in every sport the school offers during their games. If a student get injured she helps get ice, wraps injuries, and asses what needs to be done, etc. It’s actually a really great organization to be apart of to get hands on experience. She’s very interested in becoming a physical therapist or something similar as a career.
