March Volleyball Madness!

March was a very busy month for volleyball!

Alayna went to Salt Lake City for her travel tournament.

Jared and Alayna squeezed in a quick visit up to Tremonton to see his dad and step mom the day they flew in. I’m glad they got to see them. The drive up looks like it was cold but gorgeous!

They stayed with Jared’s Aunt Jean (his dad’s sister) down in Salt Lake. This is the view from her house!! That’s the South Jordan Temple! <3

They took in some sights as well. The last photo in this gallery is the Salt Palace Convention Center where the hard work took place. 😉

I’m so grateful for technology that enables me to watch my girl compete, and helps me to feel like I’m there, even though we are almost 700 miles apart! 🤍💙

Jared’s words, “A long weekend. A frustrating start, but hopefully a 3-0 final day will give them some enthusiasm going into the next one. 25th out of 30 teams. They have been playing in the Open division. I think the plan is to go into the USA division for the Vegas tournament in a couple of weeks.
The last match, first set was a 26-24 win after being down 11-20, losing the second set 31-33, and winning the last set with Alayna serving the last five points of 15-8. It was wild.”

Aunt Jean is one of those angels on earth you wish you could have with you all the time. She was such a wonderful host and took care of every last detail and made sure they were spoiled rotten. So grateful for her and her love and willingness to open her home! She even arranged a dinner on Sunday night, so they could catch up and see all of the cousins and their roughly 143 kids. (Another quote from Jared…LOL!)

But volleyball keeps coming….it’s that time of year for YW’s volleyball at church! Alayna said it’s hard to turn down the heat when your in a more “friendly” environment. LOL!

And last but not least she had her local tournament at Aspire Courts. They won 2 of the 3 games of the day.

I can never get her to smile anymore. She thinks it’s hilarious to make funny faces. 😛

Mamaw & Pampa came out to cheer her on. It was fun having them there.

I think they were good luck charms! 🏆💙🤍
