Priceless

I wanted to share a bit of my Mother’s Day with all of you. I don’t have any pictures really to go along with this little story because I was still half asleep when it happened and as much as I would like to think I have my camera with me at all times to capture great moments ..it was just too early!

Use those great imaginations now…..

I’m laying in bed and I hear from the kitchen the boys up bright and early. I’m not ready to get up so I try to ignore the noise but know it’s probably pointless, but the bed is too cozy so I try anyway.

Then I hear my bedroom door open and I hear Walker (8) telling Eli (6) in a whispery voice, “You go…just wake her up….you do it.”

Now in my half asleep mind I’m thinking, “Are they actually waking me up to ask me to play video games!!???!!! GRRR!” I tried my best to ignore them but then the inevitable of course happens.

Eli comes up to me, pats me on the shoulder and says, “Mom….Mom…Mom.”
I “reluctantly” open my eyes and what did I see? I saw Walker carrying a cookie try, very unsteadily, with a bowl of Frosted Flakes, a giant glass of strawberry milk, and a Mother’s Day card; and they say in unison, “Happy Mother’s Day!!!”

(Note: I had completely forgotten it was Mother’s Day)

My first reaction was, did Jared help them? I turned over to see Jared was still asleep next to me! I looked at the boys who had THE BIGGEST smiles you ever did see on two adorably cute kids with what they had done for their dear old Mom. 🙂

I sat up in bed, took the tray quickly..cuz Walker was struggling not to drop and or spill it..and became so overwhelmed with pride and joy over my boys!!

No one had helped them, they did it all on their own accord. I felt so appreciated and loved. I have the greatest kids EVER!!!

Here is the sweet little card

All I have to say is….any girl lucky enough to catch one of my boys….is the LUCKIEST girl in the world!!! 🙂
